Arrival in Madras

Quick message to tell you that I arrived alive and with all my luggage. top
At Roissy, I had planned 4 hours in advance and it almost wasn’t enough. For a bit, I only left because of a file in JPEG format while the Indian services wanted PDF. Good for a few cold sweats but that sorted itself out.
There is one who did not leave: vaccinated but did not do the PCR test… Laugh the world upside down….
Well arrived at the hotel, only Indian customers (obviously the “booking” site prevents direct reservations and displays this hotel full…).
For my part, I had contacted them by email and also made the reservation by email. It’s great, in the direct bath.
The first two days were complicated. Blocked intestinal transit, bloating. At first I thought about food. But no, the food is very spicy but no worries. In fact, the problem probably came from two things: the end of 2 months of stress preparing everything and the last massage session.
Today is Monday, April 25, so I’ve been here for 4 days. Everything is back to normal, I discover the city and I love it. The feeling of living again. On the guide they claim that arriving in India is a culture shock. Well for me, no. In fact, it’s cooler in Saigon, people are smiling and much less aggressive than in Vietnam.
The street food is delicious and the fruit juices are top notch.
At the administrative level, everything is complicated. You have to arm yourself with patience. In Asia changing money is done in 2 minutes on a counter. Here you need the passport and sign some papers. For the Sim card, it’s worse. But I’m hopeful to get it tomorrow after 4 attempts (there’s always something missing…). Just don’t be in a hurry.
The day after tomorrow, I will descend 200 km south to Pondicherry.
I am not posting a photo at this time. I think I will do a blog or a website later. To be continued.
Kisses
